Students K-12 will have the chance to participate in the 2018 Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest which focuses on health and wellness initiatives. Students in Miami-Dade or Broward County are eligible to submit artwork and have the opportunity to win one of 12 prizes.
OBIE, the Orange Bowl mascot, along with the Orange Bowl staff, will embark on a school tour promoting the contest starting September through mid-November.

The contest will be reviewed by a panel of judges.
Must be original work
Show good use of design
Theme should be represented in the poster
Should include visual representation of South Florida, college football, healthy lifestyles and OBIE, our mascot
Utilize medium or media that will not smear (i.e. glitter and chalk)

First Prize (four winners): $200 Nike Gift Card
Second Prize (four winners): $100 Nike Gift Card
Third Prize (four winners): $50 Nike Gift Card
Grand Prize (One winner): $500 Nike gift card and Custom Orange Bowl Bike
The Grand Prize winner will also receive two (2) tickets to the 2018 Metro by T-Mobile Orange Bowl Basketball Classic on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the BB&T Center.

Teacher: The teacher with the most entries submitted will receive a $500 Office Max gift card.
School: The school that submits the most entries will have an Orange Bowl takeover celebration at the school.
The Grand Prize winner’s artwork will be featured as a full-page acknowledgement in the 2018 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl game program and he/she will be part of a special on-field presentation.
Posters should show good use of design and theme. Maximum poster size is 18” x 24” and each student can submit one. All entries must have a completed official registration attached to the back of the poster. The form can be obtained from the school art teachers, downloaded from the Orange Bowl website, or contact Erika Lorenzo via email at email@example.com or work phone (305) 341-4746.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE CONTEST
To participate in the “People’s Choice” portion, in addition to submitting their entry to the Orange Bowl Committee, students must upload an image of their artwork to Instagram between September 4th – November 16th. In order for the Instagram post to be eligible, the account the student uploads their image to must be public during the duration of the 2018 Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest (September 4th – November 16th).
Students must also mention his/her school (school’s Instagram, school’s hashtag, or name of school), tag @orangebowlevents, and use the hashtag #OBCreativeArts. The post with the most “likes” by the end of the contest will receive the recognition of “People’s Choice” award winner.
IMPORTANT: The student must submit his/her original art work to the Orange Bowl Committee office in addition to uploading an image on Instagram. Students who only submit their artwork on Instagram will not be eligible.
August 27th – All art contest information will be sent to schools/art teachers and begin following up with school and scheduling OBIE school visits via phone, fax, mailer, and/or email
September 4th – Contest officially begins and school tour kicks off
November 16th – OBIE school tour ends and the deadline to submit all entries is 5:00 P.M. EST
Sept. 4th – Nov. 16th – People’s Choice Award Contest on Instagram
November 30th – Winners will be announced and contacted
December 29th – Grand prize winner will receive special recognition at the 2018 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl
TBD January 2019 – Orange Bowl School takeover celebration for school that submits the most entries
