About the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance presented by Sports Authority
The Orange Bowl Committee has invested nearly $5 million in youth sports in South Florida through the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA) presented by Sports Authority, since its inception in 1999. The OBYFA serves more than 15,000 young football players and cheerleaders in nine youth football leagues across nine South Florida counties.
The Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance presented by Sports Authority is comprised of four long-time member leagues: Key West Junior Football League, Miami Xtreme Youth Football League (MXYFL), Glades Tri-City Youth Athletic League and Western Communities Football League, along with five new members since 2006 – the Dick Conley Youth Football League, the National Youth Football League of America (NYFL), the Palm Beach Youth Football League, the West Boca Tackle Football League and West Boynton Youth Football League.
The goal of the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance presented by Sports Authority has not changed to promote and support the growth of youth football and cheerleading in South Florida. That was clearly demonstrated by its expansion to include a record nine leagues and eight counties in the Alliance. For its part, the OBYFA presented by Sports Authority provided its teams and parks $325,000 in direct financial contributions and grants for the 2009 season.
Sponsors of the Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance presented by Sports Authority include Sports Authority, AutoNation,
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, MetroPCS, and Toyota.
