The Orange Bowl Committee, Baptist Health South Florida, and Chipotle Mexican Grill are inviting students attending Miami-Dade and Broward County schools to join in a South Florida-wide effort by participating in the Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest. All South Florida students Kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to submit artwork and have the opportunity to win one of 13 U.S. Savings Bonds, including a $1,000 Savings Bond awarded to the grand prize winner.
The theme for this year’s Orange Bowl Creative Art Contest is "Eat Well, Live Well, Play Well." Artwork should be a visual representation of the importance of "Food with Integrity" - food that is raised responsibly and naturally, is healthful, and locally sourced – while incorporating the excitement of college football and "Obie," the Orange Bowl Mascot.
A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner will be selected from each grade category along with an overall grand prize winner. Winners will receive the following:
Third Prize = $50 Savings Bond and burritos for 2 at Chipotle Mexican Grill
Second Prize = $100 Savings Bond and burritos for 4 at Chipotle Mexican Grill
First Prize = $200 Savings Bond and burritos for 10 at Chipotle Mexican Grill
Grand Prize Winner = $1,000 Savings Bond, two tickets to the 2011 Discover Orange Bowl scheduled for Monday, January 3, 2011 at Sun Life Stadium, and recognition during an on-field presentation at the 2011 Discover Orange Bowl. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive FREE burritos from Chipotle Mexican Grill for one year, a $500 Savings Bond provided by Bank of America, and Sport Clips will provide free haircuts for a year.
Additionally, each winner will receive four tickets to the MetroPCS Orange Bowl Basketball Classic, scheduled for Saturday, December 18, 2010.
All finalists’ posters will be exhibited at Chipotle Mexican Grill and Baptist Medical Plaza’s throughout South Florida during the month of December. The Grand Prize winner’s artwork will also be featured in a full page ad in the 2011 Discover Orange Bowl game program.
The Deadline for all entries is Friday, November 5, 2010. All posters will become property of the Orange Bowl Committee and posters will be returned by request only.
