Volunteer Opportunities

The Orange Bowl Committee Inc., (OBC) is aided by a core group of volunteers, "Ambassadors," whose main function are to assist with and provide support at the Capital One Orange Bowl game, Orange Bowl Events and Orange Bowl Youth Sports programs. The mission of the Orange Bowl Ambassador program is to enhance the experience for all the fans, participating teams and media coming to South Florida for the annual Orange Bowl game.

Qualifications

  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age or older to participate in Capital One Orange Bowl game related events, to include bowl week events
  • Volunteers that are at least 16 years old can participate in supervised, controlled situations; they must also provide adequate proof of their ages
  • Courtesy and helpfulness are expected
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to work long hours required at times
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Completion of a background check, waiver of liability and indemnification agreement before volunteering
  • Ambassadors must be able to provide their own transportation to their assigned shift

Q: What do Ambassadors do?
A: Ambassadors are fundamental to the success of our events and programs and are one of the main reasons why the Orange Bowl continues to be successful year after year. Our ambassadors assist the staff with game day operations at the Capital One Orange Bowl, at the various ancillary events, and also with Orange Bowl community events.

Q: When are your events?
A: There are opportunities to be a part of the Orange Bowl Ambassador Program all year-round!

Q: How many events do I have to work?
A: There are no restrictions to the number of events an Orange Bowl Ambassador can work.

Q: Do I get free tickets to any Orange Bowl events as an Ambassador?
A: No, but you will have the opportunity to be a vital part of highly visible events throughout the year.

Q: Do I have to pay to volunteer?
A: No.

Q: How do I sign up for the events?
A: All potential volunteers must complete the Orange Bowl Ambassador Program application found here.

NOTE: You will be redirected to VOLUNTEER MATRIX to complete this application. The information collected on the Ambassador application is used only to process your application at the Orange Bowl. It is hereby understood that information you have provided is confidential, privileged, and exempt from disclosure unless required by law. All Ambassador applicants will be subjected to complete a criminal background screening.

Upon acceptance into the Orange Bowl Ambassador Program, you will have access to all of the Orange Bowl Volunteer Opportunities.  Once you have added an activity, it will appear in your schedule where you will need to confirm your attendance. Please note that you can still remove a shift once you have confirmed, but only up to 48 hours prior to the start of that shift.
