AVMED ORANGE BOWL 5K PRESENTED BY CELEBRITY CRUISES COMES TO MIAMI BEACH DECEMBER 12
Miami Lakes, Fla. (orangebowl.org) – The AvMed Orange Bowl 5K presented by Celebrity Cruises will take place on Sunday, December 12 at South Pointe Park in Miami Beach, Fla. The run/walk will benefit youth at Camillus House, a full-service care center for the indigent and homeless.
Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite college colors during the scenic 3.1-mile route on South Beach. The race will feature mascots, fight songs and other activities to celebrate college athletics and the college football bowl season. The finish line will include an array of interactive games, free giveaways, snacks & beverages, and music.
“Orange Bowl is proud to engage with our community by providing a fun-filled day of fitness for all ages at the AvMed Orange Bowl 5K presented by Celebrity Cruises,” said Orange Bowl Committee President and Chair Jack Seiler. “This event also affords us the opportunity to raise funds for the youth at Camillus House, providing care for those in need, which aligns with Orange Bowl’s mission of giving back to the South Florida community.”
On-site registration for the 5K begins at 6:30 a.m. ET. The opening ceremony and warmups will take place at 7:15 a.m. ET, and the race will begin at 7:30 a.m. ET. All participating runners and walkers will receive an official race t-shirt and a finisher’s medal.
Participants who register at www.orangebowl.org/5k prior to event day receive a $10 discount.
