AVMED ORANGE BOWL 5K PRESENTED BY CELEBRITY CRUISES RETURNS TO MIAMI BEACH ON DECEMBER 10

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (orangebowl.org) – The 2022 AvMed Orange Bowl 5K presented by Celebrity Cruises will take place on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 a.m. ET at South Pointe Park in Miami Beach, Fla.  The run/walk will benefit youth at Camillus House, a full-service care center for the indigent and homeless.

Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite college colors during the scenic 3.1-mile route on the road and paved paths through iconic South Beach. The race will feature music, entertainment and other activities to celebrate college athletics and the college football bowl season. The finish line will include an array of interactive games, free giveaways, beverages, food trucks and more, and all finishers will receive an official race t-shirt and medal. First, second and third place medals will be awarded to the top finishers in each USATF age bracket.

People can also get into the holiday spirit of giving by bringing new, unwrapped toys to donate to kids of Camillus House. Last year, more than 1,000 toys were donated for the program’s youth and more than $10,000 was raised to assist in their efforts to improve the quality of life of those who are vulnerable and homeless in South Florida.

“Orange Bowl is extremely proud and excited to once again bring back the AvMed Orange Bowl 5K presented by Celebrity Cruises to Miami Beach,” said Orange Bowl Committee President and Chair Frank Gonzalez. “This event is a great opportunity for runners and walkers alike to enjoy a beautiful course while giving back to the community by raising funds and donating toys for Camillus House.”

On-site registration for the 5K begins as early as 5:45 a.m. ET. The opening ceremony and warmups will take place at 7:15 a.m. ET, and the race will begin at 7:30 a.m. ET.
