MIAMI LAKES, Fla. ( – Tickets are now on sale for the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl. The game kicks off at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. on Friday, December 30 at either 7:30 or 8 p.m. ET. The exact kickoff time will be announced on a later date.

The 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl will feature a matchup between the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Champion (or the highest-ranked ACC team if the champion is in the playoff), against the highest ranked non-playoff, non-champion from the Big Ten, SEC, or Notre Dame.

The ACC leads all conferences with the most Capital One Orange Bowl appearances by current members (47), followed by the SEC (43) and the Big Ten (35). The most recent non-playoff Capital One Orange Bowl featured No. 5 Texas A&M versus No. 13 North Carolina on January 2, 2021, in which the Aggies defeated the Tar Heels 41-27. Last year, the Capital One Orange Bowl hosted a College Football Playoff Semifinal game, when No. 3 Georgia defeated No. 2 Michigan 34-11 on December 31, 2021 en route to winning the national title.
