About The Orange Bowl

The Orange Bowl Committee was created in 1935 with the mission of generating tourism for South Florida through an annual football game and supporting events

MAKING AN IMPACT

For more than 85 years, the Orange Bowl’s service and commitment to South Florida has been as diverse as the residents that live here. Whether it’s the millions of dollars injected into the local economy by hosting premier athletic competitions – most notably through the Capital One Orange Bowl – or the support of thousands of students and young athletes through academic programs and community events, the Orange Bowl continues to leave a lasting positive imprint on the neighborhoods and people it serves.

The Orange Bowl Committee was created in 1935 with the mission of generating tourism for South Florida through an annual football game and supporting events. Since then, the non-profit organization has expanded beyond Greater Miami to become a cornerstone of the entire South Florida area with 380 committee members and a growing legacy of charitable contributions and community outreach.

Assisting in these efforts are approximately 1,000 Orange Bowl Ambassadors, who are community volunteers that dedicate their time to make us, and our community, stronger.

From Lake Okeechobee to the Florida Keys, the Orange Bowl promotes championship sporting events, related premier entertainment and other year-round activities to inspire youth, engage our community and enhance the South Florida economy.
