The Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA) has more than 13,000 youth participants, playing in eight leagues across South Florida, from north of Lake Okeechobee to Key West.

The program has produced notable talents such as former New York Jets second round NFL draft pick and 2012 Orange Bowl MVP, Geno Smith.

OBYFA is comprised of the following leagues:

OBYFA Programs

OBYFA YOUTH FOOTBALL CLINICS

The Orange Bowl hosts a series of Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance (OBYFA) youth football clinics every summer.

The clinics are free for boys and girls ages 5-14 and focused on proper safety, development, good sportsmanship, and education. Local college football coaches run participants through offensive, defensive, and agility drills, including proper techniques to promote on-field football safety.

Join us on Saturday, July 11 (Cheer Coaches ONLY) and Sunday, July 12 (Cheer Coaches & Cheerleaders) as the Orange Bowl hosts its Cheer Clinics at Miami Carrol City Senior HS–

Treasure Coast Athletics will provide a high level quality training for cheerleaders and coaches. During this clinic, they will provide a lecture and hands-on experience focusing on stunting, tumbling, jumps development, importance of safety, skill benchmarks and progression which parallels with the levels and rules established for the Orange Bowl Cheer Championships. A certificate of completion is awarded to each coach attending the clinic.

ORANGE BOWL CHEER CHAMPIONSHIPS

The annual Orange Bowl Cheer Championships offers over 1,000 cheerleaders the opportunity to compete in a one-day competition. Over 100 teams from more than 30 parks compete in five divisions: mini, peewee, prep, varsity, and pro.

ORANGE BOWL PARK OF THE WEEK CELEBRATION

The Orange Bowl Youth Football Alliance Park of the Week program recognizes select youth football parks across South Florida each Saturday during the fall as part of its continuous community engagement and support through the inclusion of sports.

At each Park of the Week visit, Orange Bowl Committee members, staff, ambassadors and OBIE, the Orange Bowl’s official mascot, entertain players and their families with in-game contests, promotions and giveaways while recognizing the efforts of park leaders, volunteers and parents. A commemorative plaque and financial contribution for park improvements is also presented at each visit.
