WALK THE MOON to Headline the Capital One Halftime Show During 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl
MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (December 22, 2023) – The most iconic halftime show in all of college football continues its tradition with multi-platinum pop rock band WALK THE MOON headlining the 2023 Capital One Halftime Show during the 90th Capital One Orange Bowl on Dec. 30 at Hard Rock Stadium. WALK THE MOON will join an esteemed list of recent Capital One Orange Bowl halftime acts that includes Fitz and The Tantrums, Walker Hayes, Gavin DeGraw, Flo Rida, and Andy Grammer. WALK THE MOON catapulted to stardom after the release of their multi-platinum global smash hit “Shut Up and Dance”, rising to No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and breaking the record for consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart. The band is also known for hits such as “Kamikaze” and the #1 Alternative Radio hit “One Foot” from its 2017 album What If Nothing.
The band has received numerous accolades, including winning two Billboard Music Awards and nominations for an MTV Music Video Award for Best Rock Video, American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group, New Artist of the Year, and Favorite Alternative Rock Artist. Joining WALK THE MOON as part of the game day entertainment is chart-topping American country artist NIKO MOON, who will headline the Capital One Orange Bowl Fan Fest. The event will take place outside Hard Rock Stadium in the South Lot from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on game day, Dec. 30. Admission to the event is free for all fans with a ticket to the 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl.
The highly talented Georgia native singer/songwriter gained notoriety following his three-time platinum breakout single “GOOD TME”, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. Moon’s infectious melodies and feel-good positive vibes have garnered widespread acclaim as his successive hits climb the charts, resonating with audiences across the nation. Renowned for his songwriting prowess, he has also contributed to the success of notable artists such as Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts, and Morgan Wallen.
Moon has already received honors for his breakthrough contributions to the industry, which include a CMT Music Award nomination in 2021 for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Good Time”, as well as a nomination for the iHeart Radio Music Award’s Best New Country Artist in 2022.
