TNT Sports to televise College Football Playoff Semifinal from Hard Rock Stadium
MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (June 1, 2026) – The College Football Playoff, ESPN and TNT Sports today announced the broadcast schedule for the 2026-27 College Football Playoff, including the Capital One Orange Bowl, which will host a CFP Semifinal on Thursday, January 14, 2027, at 7:30 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
The game will be televised nationally on TNT, truTV and HBO Max, marking TNT Sports’ first-ever College Football Playoff Semifinal broadcast as part of its expanded partnership with ESPN and the CFP.
The Capital One Orange Bowl will once again serve as one of the final stops on the road to a national championship, welcoming two of college football’s elite programs to South Florida with a berth in the 2027 College Football Playoff National Championship on the line.

The semifinal appearance further strengthens the Capital One Orange Bowl’s place at the center of the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff. The Orange Bowl is scheduled to host CFP Semifinals in both 2027 and 2028.
The announcement comes as the College Football Playoff continues to experience record growth. The 2025-26 CFP averaged 16.3 million viewers across its 11-game bracket, a four-percent increase over the previous season. The CFP National Championship attracted 30.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched college football game since 2015 and the second most-watched title game in CFP history.
The 2026-27 College Football Playoff begins with First Round games on December 18-19, followed by Quarterfinals on December 30 and January 1. Winners will advance to the CFP Semifinals at the Capital One Orange Bowl and the Allstate Sugar Bowl before competing for the national championship on January 25, 2027, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
